Characterizing Passively Q-switched Fiber Laser in LiDAR Application

A LiDAR system consists of a Q-switched fiber laser that emits light pulses to measure the distance from target. We have experimentally demonstrated passively erbium-doped (EDFL) by employing graphene saturable absorber (SA). The SA was prepared dipping polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) thin film into solution. Once fabricated, it can be placed in cavity perform and is operating at 1558.92 nm. shortest pulse received 3.9 μs generated repetition rate 115 kHz. are stable between pump powers 59.6mW 127.1 mW. At maximum power value of127.1 mW, thelaser produced with 1.4mW output 1.1nJ energy.
